It has often been said, “If you want the world to see you or your team as experts in a particular field, you have to go out and become experts in the world...' In other words don't just peek outside your business comfort bubble... BURST that bubble and GO explore!
When Post House launched our Destination Image Film line of business (lifestyle marketing video & animation content focusing on destinations, resorts, and the travel industry), we knew that meant leaving Columbus. While we love and maintain many great client partners here in Ohio, we wanted to take our talents outside the state boarders to grow and show the world what Columbus creatives can do anytime, ANYWHERE.
Our travels in 2014 & 2015 took us from Colorado to Sonoma to Los Cabos to the Virgin Islands, then to Nantucket, and finally over sea’s to Tuscany, Florence, Pisa, Rome and Venice.
2016 has started with a large dose of wanderlust as well!
We came out of the gate in January with an 11 day shoot in Colorado. The first 5 of those days were spent in Denver shooting corporate story style interviews, testimonials and B-roll at Inspirato (one of our fantastic travel industry client-partners). Then we made the BEAUTIFUL 6 hour drive (11 hours if there's snow, a huge accident, a closed mountain pass and a 110 mile detour, but who's counting?) to Telluride to shoot a Destination Image Film. For anyone who loves the outdoors, mountains, skiing or just breathing the freshest air imaginable, Telluride is more than a magical place!
After Telluride came a broadcast commercial shoot in northern Michigan for Cabela's where our team shot Holiday footage for the upcoming 2016 broadcast campaign. Shooting for Cabela's is always an adventure. The location is always very remote, involves amazing outdoor adventures and you can always count on shooting some kind of wildlife. This shoot was all of that and then some!
In addition to our outdoor shoot for Cabela’s we’ve also completed fashion shoots for Lane Bryant in New York City and Miami, a great corporate shoot in Boston, plus a ton of great production for some of our Columbus based partners. Not to mention we are in the planning and pre-production stages for additional travel shoots for later in the year! Suffice it to say, 2016 is off to a recording breaking start and we’re not stopping any time soon!
