Create an emotional and engaging independent short film.
Changing Reels, starring Lew Sleeman, is the story of a loyal projectionist whose life is forced to change as new forms of technology replace his very purpose. As he returns home it is an emotional reflection of a simpler time. The film is an artistic representation of what is lost when the very pieces of technology created to connect a society end up isolating it even further.
"It is a story many people can connect with. We all know someone who has been faced with a job change due to advances in technology and some of them have a hard time adapting to that change," said Post House Director Timothy M. Flaherty. “Our main character is an analog man in a digital world,” he added.
The film was produced entirely in Columbus, Ohio with an entire Central Ohio cast and crew.
Changing Reels was 1 of 163 films selected out of 1,200 entrants. The film will can be viewed at the 37th Cleveland International Film Festival, Friday, April 12, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. and Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 12:15 p.m. as part of the Independent Shorts Program 12.
